Risk Management

Liberty International Underwriters has developed knowledgeable, experienced teams of loss prevention specialists who work with clients to identify exposures, assess risks and provide recommendations on loss prevention and control issues. Loss control services are viewed as an integral part of any risk management programme.

It is a critical tool in assisting clients through disaster recovery processes, and to better plan for emergencies through continuity planning.  Loss avoidance as well as loss control helps to contribute to the positive results.

Liberty International Underwriters’ risk management approach is fundamental to our underwriting strategy and the development of our long-term relationships with clients.

Our practice is based on a structured and objective analysis of each client's operations.

The aim is to improve operational parameters in the short term and ultimately to ensure the ongoing viability and success of the business.

Our in-depth understanding of the technical aspects of our clients' businesses helps us introduce new concepts and ideas to enhance overall risk control. To achieve this, we draw on the expertise of LIU’s in-house engineers, each of whom has a strong background in both industry and insurance. The end result: insurance solutions tailored to specific needs rather than the application of standard insurance industry practices.

Our engineers within Europe are in constant contact with their LIU counterparts around the world. This enables them to bring global ‘best practices’ in operating, maintenance and loss prevention to our clients.
